Plain City is a city in Weber County, Utah (UT). It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Plain City settlement began in 1858 when farmers primarily from Kay’s Creek (now known as Kaysville) began looking for a new place to homestead.

With a 2020 population of 9,364, it is the 71st largest city in Utah and the 3259th largest city in the United States. Plain City, UT is currently growing at a rate of 6.42% annually and its population has increased by 71.00% since the 2010 census, which recorded a population of 5,476. Spanning over 12 miles, Plain City has a population density of 784 people per square mile.
