South Weber is a city on the northeastern edge of Davis County, Utah (UT). It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. With a 2020 population of 8,835, it is the 74th largest city in Utah and the 3378th largest city in the United States. South Weber, UT is currently growing at a rate of 3.92% annually and its population has increased by 46.01% since the 2010 census, which recorded a population of 6,051. Spanning over 5 miles, South Weber has a population density of 1,906 people per square mile.
South Weber is located in northeastern Davis County, bordered to the north by the Weber County line. Neighboring cities are Uintah to the north Washington Terrace and Riverdale to the northwest and Layton to the south. Hill Air Force Base borders the southwest side of the city. Although located in Davis County, the city’s streets follow the street grid of Weber County to the north (which is based upon the meridians of Ogden). Business Week magazine named South Weber the sixth-best suburb in the country in 2009.
